As Passionate about Dogs as we are about Coffee
Fox Holler believes in the importance of giving back to the Community
In 2021, they started the Heart of the Holler program, donating a portion of the sale of every bag of freshly roasted coffee to a different local charity or locally-funded cause each month.
In the month of August they will be donating to the Medical Fund for the Effingham County Animal Control & Shelter’’ Vet Expenses. For the occasion, they are bringing back a Special Blend. For a limited time you can purchase Pete’s WoofTop Blend at both Locations!! Whitney Roofing has teamed up with Fox holler to re-release this blend for the dog days of summer and it is Pete Approved!!!
ECAC is one of two No Kill Shelters in Illinois. On top of record level of intake resulting in full kennels. They are also experiencing the most costly year of medical expenses. From higher than normal heartworm positive dogs, to broken legs, and eye surgeries. This year has already been Expensive!
Being a No Kill shelter is an Earned status. It requires Adopters like you. Consider adopting from Effingham County Animal Control & Shelter.

We Believe Every Dog Deserves a Chance at a Grateful Life
As I spend our extra time volunteering at the Effingham Co. Animal Control Shelter walking and socializing dogs, I develop Bonds and Trust with the K9s I have interact with over time. Many of the dogs turn into completely different personalities just by crossing the street and taking a short 20min walk. Shelter life is a high stress environment, there is no way around it. That being said, living in a Shelter, sadly, is one of the best things that has happened to many of our Furends at the Shelter, as ECAC provides excellent care for all the animals that live there. Shelters are not meant to be a long term solution and all the dogs up there long for a home and structured companionship.
The next step is adoption for these dogs. Transitioning from a Shelter to a Home is not always easy and usually takes two months before an animal settles in. Grateful Dog Walks always offers Special Rates for the first Two months for dogs I have a relationship with, when adopted from ECAC. It is our hope that this will help with the Transition from Shelter to Home to be as smooth as possible for our Furends! See some of them below!!!
